Stuffies For Broccoli: The 1963 Mini Series & Versions We Didn't See
In the style of an edgy live-action Disney movie of the 2010s, Lillian and Piper come up with a sympathetic back story for Brocklehurst. He's waaaaay more relatable now. Trust us!
We also discuss the adaptations we didn't get to review, including silent films, radio dramas and plays.

Customer Reviews
Fun!
I am new to the podcast… just returned to Jane Eyre and wanted to think and process. I read it in middle school , as a young adult, and now again in my 50s. There is so much to thus book! Looking forward to more episodes and whatever you take on next.
Very entertaining!
Piper and Lillian are very bright and perceptive twenty somethings that are discovering the classic, “Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Brontë. Through their deep dive into all things Jane related, they are bringing to life this amazing story in a way that is fresh and accessible for all ages. I highly recommend this podcast. It will not give you nightmares but is fun and a truly enjoyable way to look deeply into a literary classic. You don’t need to have read the book to understand the podcast, but they may convince you to give it a try. Bravo, Piper and Lillian! Great job on the podcast!!!
The Book
Hi, I really love your reviews as I love watching all the adaptations. I just don’t really understand how you base your opinions without ever having read the book. To me, comparing each adaptation to the book is more interesting than comparing them to each other. The 2006 version seems the most true to the book to me and that’s why it’s my favorite as well as Jane and Rochesters good banter. It’s just a little weird to me to speak so much of the story and not really know it. I still enjoy listening though.
Update: I just heard you mention my review in your new episode and I went back and read it and it seems kind of harsh looking back haha. I have loved listening to you guys go through the book so meticulously. I wanted so badly for you to read it because I knew you would love it. 2006 is still my favorite and looking back it isn’t the “most accurate” but it’s the most fun to watch for me and the actors portray the chemistry that I see in the book so well. Keep it up love you guys!
