There are times

Sometimes listening to the Fack discuss the brains behind the horror not only enhances my enjoyment but has led me down whole new paths of thinking. On both Feminism and cinema

Great, academic, look at horror

I admit, I may be a boring, straight, cis-het white man, but this podcast is awesome. Yeah, it's got a feminist bent, so what? Andrea and Alex take in-depth, scholarly looks at horror movies, and I love it. It's like the best college class I never had.

Intelligent and thoughtful

I love academic takes on horror and this is so thorough and fascinating. And yeah, it’s a feminist podcast which they say often enough that if that bothers you (yikes), nothing is stopping you from turning it off. Horror isn’t about maintaining the status quo so it feels perfectly natural to tie in feminism and other social issues. My only complaint is that it only comes out once a month, but I understand that’s what it takes to do the research that makes these episodes so insightful.
