Always Look Forward To It

So far, I've only seen half the films that have been discussed, but I enjoy the conversations regardless. The analysis of the films is thoughtful and reflective of a more liberal Christian perspective, which I appreciate. The inclusion of the reviews from a popular Christian website could easily become condescending, but the hosts are gracious and even complimentary, offering fair praise when warranted.

The entire premise of the show encourages the appreciation and contemplation of art, seeing nothing as "too far gone," a position it is hard for many to adopt even of people. As they guide us toward the spiritual or redemptive in film, we are helped to look for the same in those around us. Which is honestly pretty hard to do.

Mothers and Daughters and Dying, Oh My!

Finally got a chance to sit down and listen on my commute home; you guys made traffic bearable.

(That's a big deal.)

But seriously: the podcast was well produced, observations and analysis were cinematically competent, conversation and explorations were thorough but light-hearted... the whole episode really flew by.

I'm looking forward to listening to everything else you all record!
