71 | How to Teach Your Kids the Ten Commandments Without Fear. A Family Bible Study on God's Law as a Love Language

Do those three words — Ten Commandments — make something in your body tighten before you've even decided how you feel about them? Are you trying to teach your kids what God asks of them without handing them the same list-of-ways-to-fail-Him that you grew up carrying? What if you didn't need a single chart, checklist, or commandment-by-commandment breakdown — just one story, told in the right order? In this episode, Ash walks through the sequence in Exodus that changes everything about how kids (and their moms) understand the Ten Commandments: rescue first, trust second, love in response third. This is real Bible study you can use with your own kids tonight — no curriculum required, no theology degree needed. You'll learn the one sentence that turns "list of rules" into "love language," and why retelling it to your children quietly heals your own relationship with these commandments at the same time. 70 | The Ten Commandments Aren't to Condemn You. Take This Lesson From Moses Himself — Because God Is for You, Not Against You

Did you grow up believing that breaking the rules meant you were one bad day away from losing God's love? Have you spent years measuring yourself against the Ten Commandments, certain you were falling short — and certain that the gap was proof something was wrong with you? What if the very first thing God said before He gave a single commandment was never about your performance at all? In this episode, Ash takes you straight to Exodus 20:2 — the four words that come before "you shall have no other gods" — and shows you the sequence fear-based religion quietly rearranged: rescue first, relationship first, and only then the commandments. This is real Bible study you can hold onto: Romans 3:23-24, Ephesians 2:8-9, and the truth that the gap between you and perfection was never evidence of your failure. It was evidence that grace came first, every time, for everyone — including you. 69 | Is God Good or Is He Watching to Catch You? How to Talk to Your Kids About Who God Actually Is

Have you ever opened your mouth to talk to your kids about God — and heard your mother's words (or your grandmother's) come out instead? Do you already know the truth about who God is, but in the actual moment still reach for the phrases that scared you as a kid, before you can stop yourself? What if you didn't need to overhaul every conversation — just have two new phrases ready for the moments that matter most? In this episode, Ash takes you to Exodus 3:7 — what God said about His people before He ever gave them a single instruction — and turns it into real, practical language for your home. You'll walk away with two simple phrase swaps ("God is watching you" → "God loves watching over you," and "God sees what you did" → "let's talk to God about it") and a thirty-second way to model honesty with God for your kids using the BAM Prayer Framework's first step: Be Honest with God. Whether your kids are toddlers or somewhere in between, you're leaving this episode with words for the real, ordinary moments — the ones that quietly shape who your children believe God is. 68 | What Moses Discovered After 40 Years of Hiding — The Lie About How God Sees You (and Why You Can Trust Him With All Your Heart)

Did you grow up believing God was watching you — not to care for you, but to catch you? Have you spent years performing your way through faith, keeping the right face on, certain that one slip would land on a list somewhere? What if the watching you were taught to fear was never about your failures at all — but about His love for you in the middle of them? In this episode, Ash takes you back to Exodus 3 — to a man named Moses, hiding from God for forty years after a mistake he was sure had closed the door for good — and shows you the words God actually led with when He finally showed up. Not a list of Moses's failures. I have seen. I have heard. I am concerned. This is the God who met Ash in a hospital room at 2am when she had nothing left to perform with — and the same God who has been watching you, all along, with that same love. You'll walk away with real scripture (Exodus 3:7, 1 John 4:18, Romans 8:1, Psalm 139) and one honest question to carry into the week. Now. Psalm 139 — David's response to a God who sees everything isn't terror. It's awe: "Even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast" Related Episodes: Episode 67 | [Previous Tuesday in Heal Her Faith series] Episode 69 | How to Talk to Your Kids About Who God Actually Is (Thursday companion episode) Contact → admin@bemightymom.com Podcast → https://www.bemightymom.com/listen Connect → Join the free Be Mighty in Sisterhood community https://www.bemightymom.com/groups/sisterhood/ Instagram → https://www.instagram.com/bemightymom Resources → https://www.bemightymom.com/faithworkbook Next Steps: Step 1: Join a free community of moms healing their faith and building God-centered homes → https://www.bemightymom.com/groups/sisterhood/ Step 2: Sign up for the Faith-Filled email list → https://www.bemightymom.com/newsletter Step 3: Start healing your faith today with the free FAITH Workbook → https://www.bemightymom.com/faithworkbook The Faith-Filled Home is for moms wondering, "Is God Good?" 67 | Stop Building Your Faith Life Around Your Kids. Build It With Them — A Real Way to Have Morning Prayer as a Family

Have you ever set your alarm earlier and earlier, just trying to get a few quiet minutes with God before your kids wake up — and somehow they always beat the clock? Have you quietly decided something must be wrong with your faith, when really the advice you were given just wasn't built for a house with little ones in it? What if the moment your child walks in at 6:15am isn't an interruption to your faith life — but the actual invitation into it? In this episode, Ash gets honest about chasing the "wake up before your kids" routine, the frustration it created (at her kids, of all people), and the quiet retreat that followed when the method kept failing. What came out of that retreat wasn't a better morning system — it was a completely different way of thinking about faith at home: not built around your kids, but built with them. You'll walk through Deuteronomy 6 and leave with the BAM Prayer Framework — a simple, three-minute, three-step way to pray as a family that fits in the actual chaos of a real morning (or breakfast, or the car, or bedtime). 66 | Is Your Faith Routine Actually Working, or Just Making You Feel Better? How Psalm 42 Lived Out In My Real Life.

Have you ever opened your Bible, said the prayer, checked the box — and walked away feeling exactly as empty as when you started? Do you ever wonder if you're actually pursuing God, or just going through motions that quietly make you feel like a good Christian? What if the thing you've been calling "faithfulness" is really just fear, dressed up and standing at a fence it's too scared to walk around? In this episode, Ash takes you into a chaotic Christmas drive — two crying boys, a stuck car, and a panicking deer pushing against a fence that wasn't going to move — and the moment Psalm 42 stopped being a verse on a page and became the truest description of her own soul. As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. This episode names the real difference between a faith routine and a faith pursuit, why fear can disguise itself as faithfulness and keep you stuck at the fence, and why you don't need to know how to pray correctly to start seeking God today. You'll leave with one honest sentence to bring to Him — exactly as you are. 65 | You Family Is a Stewardship. Why Family Prayers, Not Just Praying FOR Your Kids, Invites God's Peace Into Your Home.

When you hear the word "stewardship," do you think about your finances first — or does it ever cross your mind that your kids, your home, and the faith environment they're growing up in are a stewardship too? Have you ever kept your healing work private from your children, telling yourself you'd bring them in once you had more of it figured out? What if the very thing you're hiding because you don't feel "ready" yet is the thing that's actually meant to be done together? In this episode, Ash gets honest about a season where she was doing real, hard healing work on her own faith — and quietly keeping her kids on the outside of it. What changed wasn't getting it all figured out. It was learning the difference between praying FOR your kids and praying WITH them, and watching her four-year-old son Max — who she was once told would never speak — start coming to HER and asking to pray. This episode walks through what it looks like to steward your family's faith honestly (not perfectly), grounded in Deuteronomy 6, and gives you the BAM Prayer Framework as a simple, three-minute way to start tonight: Be honest with God. Ask God. Magnify God. 64 | Are You Praying FOR Your Kids or AT Them? The Difference Changes Everything About Family Prayers

When it comes to leading your kids in prayer, do you hesitate — not because you don't want to, but because the version of prayer you grew up with felt heavy, performative, or fearful, and you don't want to hand that down? Have you ever prayed FOR your kids faithfully and privately, only to realize they were watching you build a relationship with God without ever building one of their own? What if you didn't have to be fully healed before you could lead them — and what if praying WITH them was actually part of how you finish healing? In this episode, Ash names three very different ways we pray with our kids — AT them (prayer as performance or correction), FOR them (real, but mom-centered, with kids as spectators), and WITH them (the breakthrough, where their own honest words to God start to take shape). Grounded in Deuteronomy 6:6-7 and Proverbs 22:6, this episode gives you the BAM Prayer Framework — Be Honest, Ask, Magnify — a simple, three-minute way to pray that works for you and your kids at the same time, so you're not just teaching them to pray.
