The Centennial Celebration was Awesome! | Scott Stanger - Ep 88

The Centennial Celebration was Awesome! | Scott Stanger - Ep 88

A recap of the Centennial Event on Nov 11th, 2023. We discussed the success of this event after 5 years of Monthly Prayer gatherings and countless hours of work to commemorate the historic event in 1923!

We discussed the next steps for God's Relay Race, including continuing monthly prayer meetings, incorporating TED Talks, and exploring the possibility of taking the event on the road to different businesses in the city.
Scott and I also discussed excitement for the future, hoping to expand the reach of God's Relay Race, engage more businesses, and create a lasting impact on the city. Overall, the episode showcases the success of the event and the dedication of individuals coming together to pray for the well-being of their city and the market place within it.

God's Relay Race is a workplace prayer gathering that meets on the second Saturday every month at the Plexpod in Wesport from 8:00am - 10:00am

The 2 Foundations Pillars of Decision | Steve Magnusun - Ep 87

The 2 Foundations Pillars of Decision | Steve Magnusun - Ep 87

Steve Magnuson delves into the 2 foundational principles that shape not only individual lives but also entire cities and nations. The episode explores the two foundational pillars that underpin our lives and society: history and government. Steve explains how history represents our personal journey with God, influencing our decisions and perspectives. Likewise, government signifies our understanding of God's authority and our obligation to submit to it.

These two concepts, whether positive or negative in nature, serve as the bedrock for all decision-making processes, shaping our purpose and direction in life. Steve's insightful discussion challenges listeners to reflect on their history with God and their approach to His divine authority, offering a profound perspective on how these principles impact our daily choices and the world around us.

Throughout the conversation, Steve highlights the universal nature of these foundations, applicable to both Christians and non-Christians alike. He emphasizes that even those who may reject or be indifferent to God still make decisions rooted in their personal history and concept of authority.

Steve provides clarity on the essential role of God's government as the highest authority in our lives and explains how it is unchanging, consistent over generations, and applicable worldwide.

This episode encourages introspection and a deeper understanding of how the history of our relationship with God and our response to His authority profoundly shape our lives and the world we live in.

Kansas City Dream Center & City Serve KC with Brian Hughes - Ep 86

Kansas City Dream Center & City Serve KC with Brian Hughes - Ep 86

Today, we have Brian Hughes from the Kansas City Dream Center and City Serve KC. In this episode, we delve into the work of these two incredible organizations and how they are making a difference in their community.
The Kansas City Dream Center, a part of the Dream Center Network, is a faith-based community outreach nonprofit. Bryan shares their mission of building intentional, long-lasting relationships that transform lives and create new beginnings. They focus on addressing homelessness, food insecurity, and the needs of the community while also sharing the Gospel message.
City Serve KC, on the other hand, works closely with logistics and transportation, sorting and distributing goods donated by companies like Amazon, Costco, and Walmart. They partner with local churches and faith-based nonprofits to share these items while equipping them to share the Gospel effectively.
Brian highlights the importance of volunteers and churches getting involved in their mission. You can find more information and volunteer opportunities on their respective websites, https://www.kcdreamcenter.org/ and https://www.cityservekc.org/.

TheCantus ,

This podcast is a hidden gem

I listened to this podcast for the first time. The host, Nathan has voice that is engaging and he truly makes his guests and their message the focus. Unlike some podcast hosts, who hijack the conversation, talk over or for their guests. He stays on topic, asks excellent questions and does not distract from the guests message. I like that!

About the content., it was really positive and encouraging. I live in the KC Metro area and my eyes were open to the many organizations or ministries , who are investing their time and resources into our city to make it a better place. Focus is on the gospel of Christ Jesus bringing hope and change. Lots of good things going on right here in our city and I’m here for it!
