"Families and Addiction" Interview with Margaret Swift Thompson, Executive Director & Addiction Recovery Coach for Families

Behavioral Health Integration Podcast

I had the great pleasure of having Margaret Swift Thompson the host of The Embrace Family Recovery Podcast as a special guest.

I and Margaret begin discussing issues we see in the mental health and addiction field and different ways we can improve it.

In this episode, we get into a discussion on how Margaret first got into the field of mental health and substance use.

Margaret expresses her experience working with families with addiction as well as different therapeutic modalities.

Margarette discusses what motivated her to begin hosting her own podcast and much more.

Margaret is a highly-rated motivational speaker with over 20 years of experience as an addiction counselor at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. She is passionate about her work with groups, individuals, and organizations to educate and share the tools needed to support the whole family while they navigate the chaotic roller coaster created by the disease of addiction.

As the host of The Embrace Family Recovery Podcast, she finds herself at the center of the current family recovery discussion: interviewing and learning from addiction experts, authors, clinicians in the field of addiction, and, most importantly, families in recovery.

It was a tremendous experience having Margaret on the show!
