WoT

These two seem like a couple of interesting guys to grab a pint with, but their podcast is painfully under researched.

They kept bashing Robert Jordan over and over for being too similar to Tolkien, not knowing that he had done that intentionally, because the publisher refused to publish fantasy that was too dissimilar to the proven form.

He continues the series brilliantly in the three following books showing just how far he could take the story from its humble ad familiar beginnings.

If you know the genre you know Jordan is one of the best. His genius lies in the weaving of allegory and allusion, not flashy fight sequences that would keep these two entertained...

If you want a good analysis of the WoT series in its entirety, head over to “The Legendarium.” I believe you will find Craig and his friends far more thorough and competent.
