The problem you have in getting traction over Trump calling military & vets suckers & losers is that Trump-leaning voters (including in the military) trust Trump & think John Kelly is lying. If Harris showed onscreen at a rally, pushed to all news & social media outlets & cut commercials showing the publicly available divorce settlement provision with Ivana wherein Trump stipulated that if any of his children joined the military or Peace Corps, they were 100% disinherited, that’s undeniable, concrete proof that Trump really does have such contempt for people who serve others & really does think those types of people are such suckers & losers because he’s willing to go so far as to disinherit his own children over it. Then you don’t need Trump-leaning voters to believe “sour grapes” Kelly over Trump. Trump’s own publicly available opinion in the settlement provision proves that he really feels that way. You should also remind voters that Trump lied to his country when it was his turn to fight in Vietnam by getting his rich daddy to bribe a doctor to say Donald was too physically disabled to serve. If he is such a patriot & so “manly,” why would he shirk his duty & make another man fight his battles for him? Because he was too cowardly & unpatriotic, another man had to fight & possibly die in his place. He’s not the tough guy that will make America’s enemies fear him, because they know deep down Trump is a coward who dishonorably hid behind his daddy’s money to get out of fighting for his country. (If this were a commercial ad, I’d show that well-known picture Ivana took of him in a stereotypically feminine white bathrobe with hair long enough to be considered “girlish,” particularly by the standards of conservative Midwesterners, members of the military, and young MAGA men.)
