Kenneth Joyner is the director and co-founder of Boys With A Purpose, a nonprofit After-school Mentoring Organization for young boys. The organization has been serving the Charleston, South Carolina area since 2016. Growing  up without his father sparked a passion to help young men develop their gifts and to ultimately find their life’s purpose. The passion started in 1998 when he led a youth group at his church in Baltimore, Md. Boys to Men was the beginning of a lifelong mission to help build and develop strong young men. In 2016 this journey led him to Memminger Elementary School where he helped to start the organization he now runs.  Kenneth structured his book Without A Father: From Fear To Faith, around twenty core principles of being a father figure, which isn’t necessarily about being the biological father (although it can be), but it’s about playing the role of a father figure. These principles will be called W.O.W for Words of Wisdom.  W.O.W #1 Know Who You Are.  W.O.W #2 Learn to Forgive.  W.O.W #3 Be Humble.  W.O.W #4 Learn How to Die.  W.O.W #5 Embrace Wisdom.  W.O.W #6 Let Life Teach You.  W.O.W #7 Learn to Love Knowledge.  W.O.W #8 Friends Equal Future.  Boots on the Ground: Pick one of these principles above and teach it to a young boy this week.
