164 2021 "Aha" Moment
As I reflect on where Feed Your Family Tonight began and where it is now, I feel like I have come full circle. Weeknight dinner success is not about the recipes, it is about time management.
The "aha" moment is that the key is to look at the "prep" time and the "cook" time in recipes as separate tasks. They don't have to be done at the same time. In fact, doing them at different times can be the key to getting dinner on the table with less effort.
3 Tips for Easy December Meals
December is a weird month. It starts out in a rush and in my home ends in slow days with lots of family time. In both situations, simple meals are the best! Here are 3 tips and 1 bonus for feeding your family in December.
Use "Backup Meals" on your regular meal plan.
Cook a large protein and repurpose it throughout the week.
Make cold no-cook meals.
Buy a pre-made veggie tray and put it out every day for snacking and dinner time.
Marie Fiebach understands all of the details that go into feeding your family. She helps you to understand how to plan the meals that work best for your family and to have backup plans in place for when life becomes crazy. I have learned so many practical tips from this podcast! Love it!
What a useful podcast for a busy working mom!
Marie is great to listen to and has such great advice for moms to get dinner on the table, especially during the busy weeknights. Tons of practical advice, but put together in an easy to listen to format, that is so clear. She understands the struggle and gives great tips that can help make life a little easier.
What my mom did but forgot to teach me!
I appreciate this podcast and Marie so much! I feel like all this information is what my mom did growing up, but I was just being a kid and didn’t learn all of it from her. Marie’s knowledge on the topic and how easily she lays out all the principles is perfect for listening. She has made me reconsider how I do my meal planning, grocery shopping, weeknight cooking, etc. Thanks to Marie for such an easy listen and for being our weeknight dinner coach!
