    Allyson Watterson Part 1

    Allyson Watterson Part 1

20-year-old Allyson Watterson disappeared just before Christmas in December 2019. Allyson was a young woman with her entire life ahead of her, trying to figure out what she wanted to pursue as a career path. She was last seen by her boyfriend on December 22, 2019, and his stories about that day were shaky, at best. He claims that they walked into the woods and got separated. His stories on how they got separated vary. Ben emerged from the woods the following day and Allyson was never seen again. While we were working on this story, on June 20, 2020, the remains of Allyson Watterson were found not far from where Ben said he last saw her. Though she is no longer missing, telling her story is still important. This week’s two-part series tells the story of Allyson Watterson, her love of life, the tragic loss her family has endured, and their continued search for answers.

If you have any information about the disappearance or death of Allyson Watterson, please contact your local law enforcement agency or the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 503-846-2700.

Great format

Although the host is a little dry, the first hand accounts from the people closest to the disappeared really make this show great. I was under the false notion that with all of the technology in the world today, people don’t just up and vanish anymore, and this podcast shines a light on the fact that people who are connected to their friends, family, and community can disappear without a trace even in this modern era. Was really glad to see Marissa cover Jacob Cabinaw’s disappearance, this happened in my hometown and is truly baffling.

This is, by far, my favorite podcast. I’ve listened to every episode and recently started listening to them from the beginning. Great job, Marissa!

Did anyone check the Mexican jails? I think he was so pressed for money , that he would transport drugs over the border to sell.
