A Must Listen for Fans of Stuff!

Seriously, John and his energetic band of weekly guests cover a breadth of topics including cinema, video games, pop culture, etc - and the best part is they don't take themselves too seriously like your ordinary, outdated, snooty critics. When podcasts started poppin' up EVERYWHERE, I never imagined wanting to listen to something that long. In this case, I was wrong - not only are the topics and opinions informative and entertaining...they actually keep things moving along and engage. There's a gem or six in every episode. Fill your ears with this stuff - they'll thank you!

Not a favorite

I didn’t enjoy this podcast. It meanders, the host takes forever to say stuff, and it seems very surface level. No real insight, a lot of just repeating the plot. There are much better review podcasts out there.

As Cool As The Other Side of the Pillow...

About to Review, hosted by That Guy Named John, is a podcast that locks you in, makes time seem irrelevant, and then, when finished, slows
You to go about the rest of your day, night, or weekend, a little bit smarter, a little bit brighter, and a little bit better person.

The knowledge is without question. The research impeccable, but the conversations are worth every moment. Focusing on so many different areas on the pop culture landscape - John and his awesome panel of guests and fellow reviewers, break down each thing they discuss effortlessly and make this podcast literally, as cool as the other side of the pillow. You simply don't want the good feelings to end anytime soon.

John. His podcast. His team. All the stars.
