Nostalgia and Humanity

What I love about The Math of You is the way it keeps suprising me. Suprising me with what I forgot from my childhood that I used to love, suprising me with the broad diversity of guests, suprising me with Lucas's knack for setting the tone of his guests with his interstitial song choices and well thought out signature cocktails, and suprising me with, no matter what the title of the episode promises, a wonderful glimpse into the humanity of himself and his guests. Also, he does a consistantly great job at professionally editing each episode. Please give this podcast a try, it's well worth it.

A great understanding of others

I enjoy this podcast immensely. While listening with my spouse it fosters excellent conversations either about how we relate to a given situation or commend an anecdote for teaching us something about ourselves (or cheering a shared interest).

People rarely get a chance to sit down and get to know someone else’s perspective and I think it’s so important for empathy, especially the way the world is, to take a moment to walk a mile in someone’s shoes by listening to their stories. Thanks, Lucas, for sharing these and your stories with us.

A Memory of Youth

Recently found this show, and now I am slowly crawling through this enjoyable backlog. I cannot describe the numerous times I have found myself nodding at my phone saying, "yeah...I remember that...I love that". The host has a deft skill of asking the right questions to an amazing group of interesting people. Also, he introduces a cocktail. Brilliant. Thank you for your wonderful podcast.
