    Poldark (2015) Commentary Track 3x09

    Poldark (2015) Commentary Track 3x09

We are back with another commentary track, this time for the ninth and final episode of season three. This episode was insane, there were French invasions, riots, cheating and gaslighting. Through it all, Ross kept brooding by the ocean. He's nothing if not consistently a brooder.

    Poldark (2015) Commentary Track 3x08

We are back with another commentary track, this time for the eighth episode of season three. This episode was a complete wash out for fans of monogamy. But if you enjoy emotional turmoil, twirling Emma's and peeping tom's than this was the episode for you!

    Poldark (2015) Commentary Track 3x07

We are back with another commentary track, this time for the seventh episode of season three. This episode started off with a party and went down hill from there with of depictions of sexual assault, tragic deaths and *shudder* bowling.

    Poldark (2015) Commentary Track 3x06

We are back with another commentary track, this time for the sixth episode of season three. This episode was filled to the brim with toad related escapades, Ross fixing other peoples problems and so so so so much morweanna and drake nonesense that it made rita bored.

    Poldark (2015) Commentary Track 3x05

We are back with another commentary track, this time for the fifth episode of season three. This episode Ross sets out to rescue Dwight from a French prison in what turns out to truly be a low point for the shows ability to string together a plot that makes sense. The women stay at home and cry a lot. Trigger Warning: intense mocking of Drake Carne.

A fun diversion for period drama fans

I’ve been listening to this podcast for two years and I always look forward to new episodes. Rita and Michelle are hilarious and listening to their conversations about Poldark and period dramas is like listening to friends. Always fun and diverting!

Please consider this data.

Hi. I just subscribed to this podcast the same week I saw the data I’ll share below.
I loved the format of your show and especially the list of deleted or omitted scenes.
Maybe the info below was just fresh in my memory, but I was completely distracted by the monopolization of the male voice that actually only constitutes 1/3 of your group.

“Australian researcher, Dale Spencer, used audio and video tape to independently evaluate who talked the most in mixed gender university classroom discussions. Regardless of the gender ratio of the students, whether the instructor was trying to deliberately encourage participation of the female students or not,
men always talked more— whether the metric was minutes or number of words spoken....
When Spencer asked students to evaluate their perception of who talked more in a given discussion, women were pretty accurate,
while men perceived the discussion to be “equal” when women spoke only 15% of the time. Men also perceived the discussion to have been “dominated” by women when they had actually only spoken for 30% of the time.”

Do with this info what you will. Just pointing it out.

Deborah.

Love the Podcast! How about Belgravia?

I love the podcast. You gals made suffering through Ross’s constant idiocy and Sam Carne’s, well, existence, bearable and even fun!

While you are trying out and podcasting about period pieces during quarantine, have you watched Belgravia? Pretty good. Great cast. Some interesting history mixed in as background too.

PS: Enjoyed Sanditon, even if the ending was Game of Thrones-ish. :))
