Warning: regular listening can improve your mental health.
Once you are on the path and journey of self discovery, there’s no going back. Brad Reedy is a wonderful guide. He is clear, direct, honest, vulnerable. He understands boundaries, how to explain them, and how to implement them. As we grow up in life, it’s important to shift your perspective- to engage with professionals, people, experiences, etc that change and challenge your viewpoint by a few degrees. It’s hard to change and grow- but it’s necessary! This podcast and his books are excellent resources for anyone- parents, young adults, and anyone with (or raising kids with) mental health issues. Let’s face it- we all need to do “the work”.
I’m learning how to be human and it’s helping me feel whole again.

I’m a therapist by profession and I am seeing this improve my work in holding my clients emotions more effectively now. I have witnessed great healing in sessions by following the principles explained here. I can only hope this podcast helps its other listeners in the way it’s helped me.
Spot On Parenting and Becoming a Self Podcast
I love this podcast! I love his books, and his advice to parents. I like to listen to them on walks when I'm needing to space for myself and reset, many of his podcasts are good reminders for me to heal and nurture my own wounds so I am not placing those wounds as a priority over my own children and spouse.
