14ers
Nice work Aaron and Lonnie!
Very informative podcast on summiting 14ers.
It’s been years, but I’ve done three hiking and one driving.
I would have had four, but had to run down from Grays Peak rather than go across to Torreys because we saw a thunderstorm rolling in…we made it below the tree line soon enough, but got soaked! That’s the only thing I would add - if you see a storm rolling it at altitude it’s usually already too late because they move so quickly at altitude.
Listening to the podcast reignited my interest in getting back out there…when I lived in Colorado I was hoping to start checking off more 14ers, but never got back to it…
I’ve summited Grays, Harvard and Belford (and Pikes driving - but I don’t count that, the biggest adventure there used to be driving the switchbacks when they were gravel roads, now they are mostly paved and a lot less fun!).
My pod hero!
Dad you are my podcasting hero, hope I can be on the pod soon!
