    Iceland was once a heavily forested place but it was victim of deforestation when it was first settled. There is a lot of valuable lessons to be learned about life and how or why we train in that. Nobody intentionally made Iceland virtually void of trees and everything that results from that and in the same way most of us don’t really realize the mistakes we make when we are living our lives. What we need to do though is understand that we are all humans and all make mistakes, judge ourselves and others and live in duality. Now is the time for our planet to start to see things differently and learn.

James Eke brings a great perspective to the world of martial arts podcasts. If you’ve read and liked books like “Zen in the Martial Arts,” “Living the Martial Way,” or “Hagakure,” you’re in for a treat with this collection of zen-infused martial lessons. Pulling from the teachings of figures like Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, and Alan Watts, the Warrior’s Way Podcast will do as much for your philosophy as rolling in the dojo does for your form.

Additional training

I’ve just discovered the podcast and have enjoyed listening to the few I’ve heard so far. Having trained in multiple martial arts, I appreciate not only the physical training but also the mental training and wisdom of the Sensei. Listening is like adding additional training each day/week as I drive to work or unable to do the physical part. Thanks and looking forward to hearing more.
