chirp / CHərp / verb - to make fun of or joke around with; trash-talk; commonly associated with hockey. Related forms: chirp·er, noun.

“Wynonna Earp” is a TV show about the Albertan demon-killin’, gun-totin’ heir to Wyatt Earp’s cursed legacy. Erika Ensign recruits her Albertan friends Annette Wierstra and Kirsten Goruk to share a local perspective on the shenanigans in Purgatory and the Ghost River Triangle (which we all know is central Alberta because that’s where they film the show). The podcast is recorded live after watching each episode together on the red couch they’ve stolen from Lazy Doctor Who.

Earp Chirp is a Castria production. Steven Schapansky is our cracker-jack producer.

    "Old Souls" (S4:E12)

Our hearts are full, and we might still be a bit sniffly after watching the season 4 finale. Sure. There may have been some throat slicing and haunted wedding dresses, but mostly this was a deeply satisfying conclusion. And so we end this season with deeply contented sighs....

    "Better Dig Two" (S4:E11)

So much happening! The Chirpers have questions about some of it. Much of it we are delighted with. (Mostly Mercedes. Cuz… Mercedes. Also badass Jer-bear.) Things seem weirdly settled at the end, which is making us very nervous about what is going to happen in the season finale. Can’t stop. Won’t stop....

"Life Turned Her That Way" (S4:E10)

We are left with a humdinger of a cliffhanger in this episode, and we need to start there, at the end. So much happened with a lot of dead (and maybe dead?) characters and the Chirpers are reeling! And we meet possibly the most beautiful demon yet. The real question is do we stop here or do we watch another two episodes?...

    "Crazy" (S4:E9)

Chirpers are back and talking about trivia about rats. If we could wish on a Ginny we’d hope for Wynonna Earp to go one forever. We are happy to see the friends back together, showing off their smart brains and street brains. And we discover there are worse things to eat than brains? Or not?...

More please!

I love the voices on this podcast! So much fun. I'm not from Alberta but they make me feel welcome and they explain the in-jokes. Looking forward to more shenanigans and musings on Wynonna Earp.

A Fan but not a Fanatic

This show kept coming up on my Netflix stream... always an “interesting but probably not for me” choice.. but I often heard Erika reference it on various other podcasts.. so eventually I decided to give in.. by the 3rd/4th episode of season 1 I was all in.. still it took me a month to get through season 2.. at which point I downloaded all those podcasts for the vacation drive to and from the beach.
Listening to the 3 hosts took me back more than 1/2 a lifetime ago when ... being the only boy at the large family gathering table ... I just sit and listened to my cousins talk and laugh.. rib and tease each other ... open up about the good or bad they were going through.. the tone and tenor of their voices.. this brings me a sense of family and friends..
Now I limit myself to 3 episodes a weekend and pretend I’m following the podcasts in real time.
Yea! For Season 4 !

Good Stuff

Actual fans express themselves about each episode. I listened to the ‘official ‘ podcast. I prefer this one.
