Season 6 "The Bombshell" #51 [SEASON PREMIERE]

Season 6 "The Bombshell" #51 [SEASON PREMIERE]

Welcome BACK to the Kings of the Ring! The fallout begins from the monumental finish of Season 5!
Previously on Kings of the Ring,
Thor leaked to Hollywood Buddy Melrose of Buddy's plan to launch a union for pro-wrestlers, endearing Thor to Julian and getting the union shut down before it could start by firing Buddy.
Outlaw Jesse James seemingly regained the World Heavyweight title from Diamond Donny Gold before 30,000 at Wrestle America in Charlotte, but the pinfall was erased when the original ref who was knocked out, disqualified Donny but was too disoriented to call for the bell, while former Heartland owner and WWA President George Gilmore was brought out of retirement to help the Alliance deal with Daniel Hawkins who was looking to take over the WWA through force.
Hollywood superagent Daniel Daybreak, after screwing up Thor's chances to co-star in Predator, filmed a TV pilot based around Thor called Superteam USA for syndication, and Michael Angel returned home to Dallas after his drugs overdose that almost killed him and was surprisingly welcomed in by father Burt, who believed he was no longer gay after emerging from death's door.
And finally, after months of head to head house show battles, Julian Cain and Charlie Gotch met face to face and ended up fighting, which resulted in Charlie almost killing Julian with a choke, but instead died of a heart attack... all slowly before Julian's eyes, rather than getting help.
Kings of the Ring is intended for mature audiences. Today’s episode would be rated MA for profanity and sexual content

    Season 6 "The Funeral" #52

    Season 6 "The Funeral" #52

Welcome to the Kings of the Ring! The bombshells continue in a second consecutive Jumbo-sized episode!
Previously on Kings of the Ring,
The Rock'n'Rollers have emerged as the hottest heartthrob tag team in wrestling, but were screwed out of the WWA World Tag Team titles by "Pretty Boy" Willie Dean and "The Best" Kenny West.
Failing to sell the Superteam USA pilot on his own, superagent Daniel Daybreak hopes bringing Thor Hansen to the pitch meetings will close the deal.
Feeling mistreated by Charlie Gotch in AMW, Shark and Buzzsaw decided to accept the invitations from either SCW in Atlanta or the EWF in New York.
Burt Ironside has welcomed Michael Angel back home to All-South Wrestling, but only because he believes his near death experience has eliminated all traces of homosexuality. And so far Michael is playing along, to the confusion of Gabriel.
Diamond Donny Gold incited a riot when Willie Dean and Kenny West helped break Jesse James' leg in a steel cage in Richmond.
And finally, after everyone was dealing with the fallout of Charlie Gotch's death, Julian's mother revealed that not only did Charlie never rape her, they had a years' long affair, and Charlie is Julian's real father!
Kings of the Ring is intended for mature audiences. Today’s episode would be rated TV-14 for profanity.

Season 5 ”Civil War” #41 [SEASON 5 PREMIERE]

Season 5 ”Civil War” #41 [SEASON 5 PREMIERE]

It's Civil War everywhere in the Kingsverse as 1986 kicks off!
Previously on Kings of the Ring,
The Super Bowl of Wrestling blew up in everyone's face, with tensions sky high between all Heads of the World Wrestling Alliance while Thor Hansen started distancing himself from Julian Cain and Nigel Davies, crediting a new agent for doing more for his movie career.
Thanks to the support of Miss Kitty and some tribal soul searching, Diamond Donny Gold is on the way to recovery from his paralytic back breaking, however Beautiful Barry Lovelace did not appreciate how close his wife got with the Golden one, with everyone believing their having an affair.
Apollo Sampson had a bizarre cage match with his real life tormentor Brick Sawyer and ended up running away mid-match and walked straight out the door, and Charlie Gotch finally conceded to son Nelly, to let him steer AMW, as long as priority is placed on eliminating Julian Cain and the EWF.
Jesse James has major heat on him from the Alliance and the fans for the perception that he caused famous comedian Jimmy Buck to commit suicide following his slap on national TV before 25 million viewers.
After getting so much heat from Nigel, Arnold, and everyone else for putting Empire-Mania 2 in Milwaukee, Julian Cain boasted that Empire-Mania III would come from a stadium. And after a year of watching all Alliance territories catch fire using the bouncers turned wrestlers from a tiny saloon in the upper Midwest, Julian paid his own visit and may have found the best of the bunch, who was ditched by the others and is looking to make his own mark in the wrestling business.
Kings of the Ring is intended for mature audiences. Today’s episode would be rated MA for profanity, violence, and sexual dialogue.

Season 5 ”Indecent Proposal II” #42

Season 5 ”Indecent Proposal II” #42

    R.I.P. Lanny Poffo 1954-2023
This season is dedicated to the memory of Lanny Poffo, who graced Kings of the Ring as a Guest Voice Actor for this Season 5 into Season 6. Thanks so much Lanny for helping this little show and for your lasting legacy in the wrestling business...
Previously on Kings of the Ring,
Beautiful Barry Lovelace is having a hard time dealing with everyone talking about his wife Miss Kitty's having an affair with Diamond Donny and wants a divorce, despite having nothing else going on his life.Krusher Krawcyk had an awful 1985, losing a civil lawsuit for hitting a reporter, costing him the St. Louis Territory, his house in bankruptcy, and that same house bought and demolished by Julian Cain.
After feeling embarrassed that Golden Globe winner, Michael Caine mistook him for Corporal Punishment, Thor Hansen politicked to have the Corporal fired. After seeing the Meat Machine wrestlers pop up throughout the entire Alliance for a year, Julian Cain went to their hometown and may have found the guy with the most star potential. Meanwhile the previous 'chosen one' Apollo Sampson, after months of being bullied walked out of All-South in the middle of their main event cage match! When Nelly Gotch caught Daniel Hawkins and Jesse James trying to poach wrestlers from other territories, the rest of the Alliance tried to do the same back at them.
Kings of the Ring is intended for mature audiences. Today’s episode would be rated MA for profanity, violence, and graphic sexual descriptions and dialogue.

Capturing!

Incredible sound! Your voice pulled me in and I found myself drawn to your podcast without even watching wrestling myself. Well done 👏👏👏

Best show ever

Look forward to the 15th every month without a doubt my favorite show on the internet or tv. Thanks for all the hard work. Can’t wait till the next season is out. 🤘🏼🫠😎

Nothing like this anywhere

This is by far the best thing in podcasts. I’ve even heard other audio dramas, and this is the best, not just in wrestling. Re-listen to past seasons if you really want to catch the storytelling depth you get with KOTR.
