My sis and I are huge Potter fans and listen to a lot of different things on it. After Dear Mr.Potter it seemed impossible to find a really good podcast and then my sis found Lumos Maximas

Is this based off canon?
I think it’s really hard to listen to some of the episodes because it seems like a lot of the understanding of characters seems to be based on fanon? I listened to all of episodes about the golden trio and it’s clear that hermione and Harry’s episodes were handled very differently than Ron’s, which is understandable because we all have favorite characters. I did think his worst characteristics were a little overflown especially calling him prejudice as much as was stated. I do think Ron was judgmental about werewolves, but once he was educated we see him change those beliefs. I think the house elf postion is a blind for him AND hermione. That is nothing compared to the relationship episode when one of the hosts stated that Ron and hermione weren’t really friends and only interacted because of Harry. She even went so far as to say they never interacted without Harry, which is crazy because they were prefects together and spent time doing rounds and hermione chose to spend time with Ron during the breaks and arrived to the burrow well before Harry. I do understand not liking a romantic relationship for the pair, but there is no where in the books where we are to believe they weren’t actual friends. We are also told that hermione and Krum would make a great couple. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but we only see them at the Yule ball. We know nothing of their relationship to judge their compatibility. Are these opinions based on fanon or canon?
Great Podcast!
As an avid harry potter reader, this is one of my favorite podcasts to listen to for HP! The hosts have a great back and forth and their opposing mentalities ( slytherin and gryffindor) brings a fun and interesting dynamic to the podcast! They discuss issues that i have always had questions about it. Great way to spend an hour!
