    The Cronenberg Episode

    The Cronenberg Episode

In this episode, we break down three films of David Cronenberg with The Brood, Videodrome, and Eastern Promises. We *almost* get to a point of well thought out analysis, but frequently get derailed.

Please consider donating to a local abortion fund or a charity supporting marginalized groups in your community. If you do, send us the receipt and you will get to tell us what we should cover next.

    The Time Travel Episode

    The Time Travel Episode

On what was supposed to be our episode for May, we are talking about time travel and its utilization within movies and pop culture. We dive deeper into Edge of Tomorrow, Timecrimes, and Coherence (which is totally a time travel movie, I don't want to hear it).

Please consider donating to a local trans organization, as there is more and more widespread transphobia in every part of our country. Send us the receipt at @WTHITFpod, and you get some input on what topic, subgenre, director, etc. we cover in a future episode.

    The Jackie Chan Episode

    The Jackie Chan Episode

On this episode, we talk about Jackie Chan, his influence on the action movie landscape, and the journey his work has taken across the decades of his career. The movies we picked for the episode are The Foreigner, Rush Hour, and Police Story.

A quick note: This episode was recorded prior to the release of the SCOTUS opinion on Roe v Wade, so that is not reflected in the beginning of the episode when we discuss charitable giving.

    The Raimi Episode

    The Raimi Episode

Some housekeeping first: There are some audio issues in this episode, so bear with us. The issues begin at 25:38, and occur intermittently through 52:54. I would recommend staying aware of your volume during that stretch.

On this month's episode, we talk about the work of Sam Raimi! The episode includes his history, filmography, and hallmarks of his work, as well as a deeper dive into Evil Dead 2, Darkman, and Spider-Man 2.

    The Heist Episode

    The Heist Episode

We are back with a new format and focus, but everything else is, well, it's pretty much the same. This month, we talk about the heist genre, what makes a heist movie, and three different movies that we bring to the table as examples of the sub-genre. The movie selections for this episode are Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro, The Killing, and Fast Five.

Laughs from start to finish

Who the hell is this for?! It’s for you, that’s who!!! Have listened to the podcast from the beginning and have loved every episode. The chemistry that hosts have with one another is undeniable and the listener benefits from that relationship. Each episode does a deep dive and goes into the background of films you may have, or have not, heard of and tries to decipher what audience was this trying to reach?! The humor is on point and the takes are H O T. 10/10 would recommend.

Love This Pod

You never know where the conversations will go, but it’s always fun. Each host has their own brand and watching those come together (or not) is the highlight of each episode.
