Customer Reviews
Great musical podcast
Love the stories and the music, but mostly the insights into the creative process from very talented singer-songwriters.
THIS IS A TOTALLY UNBIASED REVIEW
...of an incredibly intimate and honest self portrait taken by two artists from inside the ragged and frayed state of American songwriting. Somehow they manage to capture some glimmer of a way forward for artists with sub 1k Spotify spins and boxes of unsold cds in our basements.
This is a documentary style conversational diary of two songwriters traversing the country with guitars and podcast gear in tow. Along the way we are introduced to songwriter friends, newly minted songs, through an endearing free-form unedited conversation. Topics range from artist centered infrastructure, bad coffee, and booking hell. On the surface the podcast explores the songwriting process and the concept of fame. But for me, their frequent detours into existential third-wall banter about the podcast itself made for some of the most enjoyable laugh out loud listening moments I’ve ever had.
