Change is the only constant and is something we all have to deal with. As a trans person I am doing this podcast as a lead up to my forthcoming book “Like A Butterfly: Leaving the Cocoon”. I'm writing this book in hopes that my story will help guide trans folks as well as our family members, friends, lovers and anyone else who recognizes that our society has changed and that we too must change with it. If you are a Cis person (not trans), this book Will help you let go of rigid rules for performing gender and discover a more authentic expression of yourself and allow others to do the same. Terrell Jermaine Starr ,

A Relatable, Accessible Podcast

I've been listening to this podcast since it started and find it to be a very relatabie podcast where I can learn about trans issues and also about Angelica's personal and professional journey. She explains evergreen subjects in ways that go beyond the surface. Often, even the most sincere people with questions about trans issues do not have people in their lives with whom they can speak. Angelica challenges her listeners to be accountable, but she doesn't sting with her critiques and has a conversational delivery.

Her episodes are very diverse. While she does discuss trans and gender issues primarily, there are enough intersections with entertainment and business and other subjects that the content is varied. That Angelica is black also adds layers of context to whatever she is disucssing on a particular episode.

The podcast is occasional, so there is no a weekly episode. But when Angelica does drop an episode, it is a very good one. I certainly recommend all cisgender folks to listen to this podcast, as it is an excellent medium through which to better understand trans people and Angelica.

Beautiful

Exquisite, substantive, and resourceful are a few words I will use to describe this show! Miss.Ross is the boss and I love her insight. Plus she’s sexy too!

"Like a Butterfly" is like a dream!

We have too few voices and too few positive representations in the Black, Trans community. I am deeply grateful for the contributions of this beautiful soul, and their willingness to be a vessel. This podcast is lovingly authentic and truly refreshing.
