Super interesting

I love this show and wish there were more episodes. Great host and the details like the food stable music and linguistic nuances of the civilizations described really add a fantastic touch

Outstanding

Well done and informative. An excellent use of your time. The Patreon page also has great supplemental material. The Sumerians (ep. 8) was mind-blowing.

Excellent but the voices creep me out

I live this podcast but when the author reads ancient quotes he usually strange voices that are supposed to mimic perhaps the voice of the character who wrote it but often they sound corny to me and Mayans and Egyptians sound remarkably similar. Just drop the voices, we don’t know what these people from thousands of years ago sounded like and it doesn’t help put me in that century it just makes me think how wrong the English with a weird accent is compared to how they probably would have sounded.
