Sarah Corbett Episode 2: Social Media, Gifts and Transformation.

Part 2 of our interview with Sarah Corbett, the award-winning campaigner with 30 years’ practical experience as an activist.

Sarah found feeling like an "activist robot" exhausting. As an antidote to burnout she found a way to use her creativity to protest in a careful, thoughtful way - using gentleness to bring lasting transformation.

We talk about how to engage well with social media, not demonising or dehumanising people and real transformation.

Sarah Corbett: Craftivism, Jesus and the art of gentle protest.

Sarah Corbett: Craftivism, Jesus and the art of gentle protest.

Sarah Corbett is an award-winning campaigner with 30 years’ practical experience as an activist. Sarah found the constant pressure to get people to sign up to campaigns, with little real engagement or compassion, exhausting. As an antidote to burnout she found a way to use her creativity to protest in a careful, thoughtful way; using emotional intelligence and neuroscience to engage with power-holders in a meaningful way.

We talk about how both introverts can benefit from her approach to activism, avoiding the messiah complex and how real, long term change requires time and patience.

A lovely out-in-the-world style show

I really appreciate that the producers leave the studio from time to time and get into the world to do their interviews. I would never have known there was a group helping people do low budget weddings as a ministry. Good work, team!

Short Stories of Hope

I find each episode too short but only because the stories of hope and people working so hard to provide for a better are uplifting. Keep up the great work!

Not just talking, doing!

I enjoy that this podcast is promoting actual action. I need not say anything else. It’s more than just conversation, it’s God in motion.
