A MUST for all Austen fans
Jessie and Annie give a perfect combination of in-depth critical analysis and pure Austen swooning. This podcast is a must-listen for fans of Austen, of course, but also perfect for literature fans who want to experience it for the first time. Fun, thoughtful and engaging.
Excellent Austen Review, but…
The hosts bring up very well-thought out views on Austen’s works without being dry. However, one of the hosts has, like, a verbal tic, of like inserting the word “like” in like every other sentence. Their discussion is so intelligent, but the “likes” take me out of it.
A single girl in possession of a phone must be in want of a podcast
I’m so excited for this. I know Jessie and Annie and they’re wonderful. I’m also a huge Austen fan, particularly Pride & Prejudice (the 2005 film version). I’ve seen so many Austen films, but have never read her books! I’ve started P&P several times, but now I can read along with these wonderful women. I’ve already started Sense & Sensibility. I can’t wait to hear them gush over P&P
