    Ducks Drafted Into the NFL!

    Ducks Drafted Into the NFL!

Welcome back to It Never Rains! Tyson and Aaron deliver a scintillating review of the 2020 NFL Draft that featured a bevy of Oregon Ducks who had the first step of their professional dreams realized. The Ducks Duo discuss Justin Herbert being selected by the Los Angeles Chargers, and how he figures to fit into the organization that's without former incumbent, Phillip Rivers (3:55). Troy Dye, Shane Lemieux and Jake Hanson were all mid to late-round selections; the guys assess the recent draftees' weaknesses, and project how they will fit into their respective NFL teams (8:30). It's time for everyone's favorite post-draft exercise, another way-too-early mock draft! The 2021 Draft will, seemingly, host a lot of current Oregon names, including a potential top-5 pick in Penei Sewell (17:50). Let's dive into episodes three and four of 'The Last Dance' (25:30)!

A shockingly bad product from a great outlet

I love the Athetlic, but this podcast is utter garbage. Aaron Fentress is maaaaaybe the the single most annoying person to ever live? He's definitely up there. I always thought his writing was fine, but after getting a really bad impression after listening to a few episodes of this, I learned from some folks inside the sports journalism world that he's among the most disliked and disregarded people in that biz. Honestly, give two or three of these a listen and you'll see why. The other host, whose writing I also liked before this, always sounds like he either just woke up from a nap or is on the verge of taking a nap. It's almost unlistenable. Coffee is your friend, dude. I won't cancel my subscription to the Athletic, but they've definitely dropped a few pegs for me. Surely there are better people out there you can hire. The quest for a semi-decent Oregon Ducks podcast continues.

These guys don’t want to be here

Seems like both hosts would rather be doing anything else, especially Fentress. Don’t waste your time with this podcast. They talk more about the hotels and food they get as media members on trips than actual football analysis.
