Do you hear the calls to fight climate change? The calls to mitigate its impact? To be more sustainable to preserve our planet for the generations to come? Sometimes, these calls leave us overwhelmed and confused. And at times, we still ask ourselves, ‘How should we deal with the changing climate?’, ‘What is our response? Is it fast enough?’, ‘How do we make sure that no one is left behind?' With the help of people of climate action around the globe, Anne-Sophie Garrigou, Editor-in-Chief of The Beam Magazine, and Anna Siwecka discuss how to include and inspire a greater number of people to participate in fighting climate change. The beam

So glad I have found this podcast. Great guests and hosts. We need brilliant women in all industries and the visibility of their empowerment with climate change.

Interesting topics, needs harder questions

Listening to the episodes on 100% renewables and on cities, I felt like some of the subtleties of political debates were missed by a relatively relaxed interview style. The 100% renewables had little discussion of the challenges of integrating beyond 90-95% and the tradeoffs of including some zero carbon but non-renewable resources. The cities episode had little discussion about the fierce debates in many Western cities about whether to allow more dense infill development to prevent sprawl.

As a student at UC Berkeley, it’s definitely great hearing my Professor Daniel Kammen speak about renewable energy. I also found this podcast to be incredibly informative, with highly educated people speaking about their respective fields. I’m excited for what’s to come!
