Welcome back to another episode! We continue our mini-series of comparing originals with their remakes this week with the 2004 supernatural horror film, The Grudge.
This remake of the 2002 original was also directed by Takashi Shimizu and stars Bill Pullman, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jason Behr and Clea DuVall.
Synopsis: An American nurse living and working in Tokyo is expsed to a mysterious supernatural curse, one that locks a person in a powerful rage before claiming their life and spreading to another victim.

We're doing another series and that compares and contrasts original movies and their remakes. Last week we watched the 2005 film, Dark Water that was actually an American remake of the 2002 Japanese horror film of the same name.
This week we watch the original 2002 Dark Water that was directed by Hideo Nakata and written by Yoshihiro Nakamura and stars Hitomi Kuroki, Rio Kanno, and Mirei Oguchi.
Synopsis: A mother and her 6-year-old daughter move into a creepy apartment whose every surface is permeated by water.
