Can’t Buy Me Love is an 80’s teenage Rom Com about a nerd named Ronald (Patrick Dempsey) who comes to the rescue of popular neighbor Cindy (Amanda Peterson) with a little quid pro quo… He’ll help her out of a pickle if she agrees to pretend to be his girlfriend for one month. With a killer soundtrack and sizzling chemistry we think this is deserving of a rewatch.
Then Averyn continues with a tale of Tucson teens who were so beguiled by charming, strange, tin cans in his boots wearing Charles “Smitty” Schmid, that even after three teenage girls went missing and Shitty Smitty bragged about killing them no one said a word.

This show follows a woman who has returned home to Manhattan, KS to help her sister who is dying from cancer. The show begins after her sisters death and follows Sam’s (Bridgett Everett) journey through grief as she relearns how to make connections and finds her voice again.

Then Averyn tells the true story of Ali Kemp. Ali Kemp was a 19 year old Kansas State University student who was killed while working her summer job at the local Leawood community pool. Leawood, KS is a notoriously safe suburban neighborhood and Averyn knows this because she lived there growing up and her parents still live there to this day. This shocking crime shook this community to its core. But the determination of Ali’s father, Roger Kemp, ultimately led police to her killer.
