Audience Re-Air (When Passion Meets Profession)
Currently we’re between seasons at 3 Clips. In the meantime let’s listen in on an old episode of Audience.
Newt Schottlekote created their first audio drama in 2017 when they were only 15 years old. That led to the creation of Caldera Studios, a production company where Newt produces their work including their latest series, Where the Stars Fell.
In this episode, Newt and Stuart discuss the creative process of making a fiction podcast, the need for budgets in audio drama, and strategies for crowdfunding.

Fun, insightful series
This is a really interesting, fun, and well-curated series. They do deep dives on the making of all kinds of podcasts, and they ask the less than obvious questions. Check it out.
My favorite podcast
I am a podcast producer for an education company, and this is my go-to show for all things podcast. Jay is a great host, and the production value is very high. Does Cherie really produce this all this by herself! Wow. She’s a marvel, and I loved the episode that featured her. Kudos to Cherie and Jay and Castos for the autonomy they seem to grant the show. It doesn’t sound like a long commercial and that’s to their credit.
Authentic, Empowering and Amazingly Practical
It’s obvious Jay puts extraordinary effort into every single 3 Clips episode. But what resonates with me most is that he finds guests that are authentic and truly care about being a positive force in this world. The insights they collectively bring to bear are honestly mind-blowing Every. Single. Time.
No matter the episode, you’re guaranteed to walk away with a handful of golden nuggets - can’t recommend this show enough 🙌
