Capturing images of kite-surfing and outdoor adventure sports is a tricky area of  photography at the best of times, but what about after a life-changing accident that leaves you unable to use your arms or legs?

Ydwer van der Heide was at the top of his game, taking photos of extreme water  sports when he experienced a life-changing accident that left him using a wheelchair.
