Miggedo is explained when Aviram and Al-Mesih are in the plane together. The plane is mysteriously shot down and Aviram awakens to find Al-Mesih hovering over him. A little boy runs to their rescue with water exclaiming that Al-Mesih had brought him and another man back to life after the plane crash. Miriam, the reporter, is given a brief by Cameron on revealing who Al-Mesih really is and goes public with it. Everyone Al-Mesih has effected is ashamed and embarrassed by the lack of knowledge they had, yet followed anyway. Staci and Jonah are in the hospital, while Raya passes away, Felix and family are at the hospital while Rebecca is recovering from her seizure.

We find backstory of Aviram and how his mom died by a car bombing. Evas dad comes to visit to avoid the flood in Florida and we begin to see his short term memory loss getting the best of him. He begins to be honest and regretful about the relationship between him and his wife and reveals they went through 6 miscarriages, not unlike Eva has. He also begins to apologize for not being there for either of them when they were young. Years of resentment come out between Anna and Felix as we see Anna was pregnant at 16 and made to stay in Dilly Texas with Felix. Resentment has built over these 15 years. Staci's husband Jonah files for divorce because he feels he cannot trust her with their daughter Raya. Aviram and Eva finally sleep together, but Eva immediately regrets it. Felix comes to Ed with an offer he cannot refuse. He pimps Al-Messih out to stay relevant, but it backfires as Al-Mesih is kidnapped by Aviram. Jibril begins to address crowds to fight for Palestinian independence but sees his old friend Samier. Samier has become a suicide bomber and has been trained for this exact gathering. He fails to push the trigger to save his friend but it goes off anyway, killing him and many there.

Keon is revealed to be connected with Eva's mentor. He is studying civilization and Islam when everything he has been taught is challenged by the riots and chaos Al-Masih has brought to DC. His classmates give up on school and people riot in the streets. He continues to burn his school books and school papers. Al-Mesih has 3 one on one encounters with people. One being Staci and Raya in hopes of healing Raya's cancer. In reality, Al-Mesih just sits and stars at Raya in silence. The second a prostitute who is paid to tempt Al-Mesih, but the situation is turned around and he ends up showing her the love she has wanted to hear along with challenging her to soul search what she is truly worth. The third with Rebecca, who has been setting up a slow relationship with Al-Mesih. He asks her for a favor at some point in time. With out knowing what it will be, she accepts, no questions asked. Al-Mesih's brother is found and interviewed revealing that they were raised by their uncle who was a magician. Their uncle taught them sleight of hand and the art of conning. He even goes so far as to prove wit with a magic trick of his own.

People have traveled from all over the world to see Al-Mesih in Dilly, Texas. It is revealed that Rebecca has epilepsy and sees visions. A list has been curated for Al-Mesih to heal and grant miracles. However, Felix is completely lost and taken aback that Al-Masih does not have a plan. Aviram is on the hunt to kill Al-Masih but when the opportunity presents itself, he fails to do so, and reconnects with Eva to discuss what happened and why. Al-Masih is ready to come out from the tent when he hears a dog in distress. He finds the missing dog with the owners and shoots the dog instead of healing him. Both the father and son are shocked. Jibril is left in the desert by himself, with all of the followers doubting Al-Mesih and returning to Syria. Will Mathers comes clean to Eva about the recording and points out that Al-Mesih is taking script from the confusion specialist Oscar Wallace. Offering that he may not be what everyone perceives him to be.

Season 1 Episode 3 "The Finger of God" In a moment of desperation, Felix begins to carry out his plan of setting his church on fire. His daughter decideds to hitch hike to get out of Dilly Texas but is stopped by a sudden torando. Felix's plan is foiiled when he is forced to look for his daughter and take his family to safety from the tornado. As a result, he sees Al-Mesih standing next to the tornado and unharmed. The aftermath has destroyed everything, save the chruch. Felix has a heart ot heart with Al-Mesih in the church, beleiving he has a connection to be the second coming of Christ, but his conversation is cut short when Al-Mesih is arrested once more. Aviram captures Jibril and begins to torure him with the promise of water. When he fails to get the answer he seeks, he beats Jibril and drops him in the middle of the desert to die. Eva continues to persue Al-Mesih , traveling from israel to Texas as the tornado footage goes viral. She is stopped short when he is arrested. She is, however, pregnant, but suffers a miscarriage and is forced to deal with the loss alone by herself.
