Doni is one of the head chicks in charge for Throttle Gals Magazine and she joins me to chat about working in the motorcycle industry as a female. Her driving passion is to teach women to be independent by being able to understand and possibly work on their own machines. She also rides and wrenches on her old, custom bike that her and her father built together.

Ep63: Just a Woman Who's Always Loved Motorcycles w/ Sue Blackenship

Motorcycles have always been a part of Sue's life but they're even more prominent now that she's retired and her house is empty. While many podcasts are with famous travelers who've done things that are hard to imagine for most people, Sue brings us a modest story of a woman who just loves to ride that's relatable.

    Ep61: Bunk-a-Biker Stories w/ Kitty Patterson

Kitty is a host in Illinois and she's been hosting since the 80s, but only recently with Bunk-a-Biker. As an outgoing individual, she explains how she would find weary travelers before social media existed.

You can find out more about Bunk-a-Biker on www.bunkabiker.org. We have 20+ groups on Facebook to join and our own social site for those who don't like Facebook.

Bunk-a-Biker is free to use but it is not free to run, so I ask that anyone who wants and can afford to give back to the community to go through www.patreon.com/bunkabiker. Thank you for being a contributor!

Ep 52

I ride a sport tourer as well (have crossed America 9 times!) and agree with Jeff Tyler, that leaning over the tank is far superior than sitting upright. When you’re leaning over the tank, your more aerodynamic and the upper body absorbs the shock of going over bumps but when you’re sitting upright your lower spine absorbs shock.
I will also say, riding in rain is more comfortable when you’re leaning forward than sitting upright and taking the shower, wind on your front side.

Great Camping Advice

I am not a seasoned bike camper, but am learning. There is a lot of great advice. I am most excited about hearing about the different gear. I have tried several different things only because I wasn’t sure what to look at and why. Zee explains it all. Cost, structure, what works and what doesn’t.

Looking forward to the future podcasts.
