Conspiracy Theories a Desire for Spirituality
On Belief Busters we discuss ways to see people who believe in conspiracies in a new light. What if conspiracy theorists are simply trying to connect with God in an alternative way. What if because of their disillusionment with religious dogma, people are looking for things to battle in the hopes of winning God's favor? Is it possible for us to choose to not disagree with their beliefs, but to understand they are searching for spiritual connection? Could we renew their trust in humanity again, by simply listening and finding common ground?

I love this podcast!
I thoroughly enjoyed my talk with Rev. Sheree. She is so down to earth and relatable that it makes for relaxed and interesting episodes. I love what she is addressing in her podcasts-noticing and challenging any beliefs we carry that are not serving us. My book, Prayed Upon addresses that very thing. Faulty beliefs stemming from childhood abuse or religious trauma can haunt us into adulthood if not addressed. I also love that this podcast challenges faulty religious beliefs that set us up for failure and disappointment. God is more than religion!
