    Season One: That's a Wrap!

On today's episode, I'm going solo and looking back at season one of The Lampstand Chronicles, into some of the things I learned and answering some of the most asked questions from the season so far. It's been an amazing journey so far, and it definitely isn't the end! Thank you to Tep, VYLW, SSTEDI, STILL, Lydia Bricker, Dion Davis, Oyin, KEO, and Charlene Nash for being apart of the vision and joining me on each episode. I can honestly say I learned something from each of you and that's more than what I could've asked for. Thank you to each and every listener, you made what started as a somewhat scary venture so so so much fun, and I can't wait for you all to see what I have in store for season two!

    EP 009 - Charlene Nash

    EP 009 - Charlene Nash

On today's episode, I crossed another name off my bucket list and chatted with Charlene Nash - a singer and songwriter out of Ontario, again shout out to all of my fellow Canadian creatives. I've been a fan of Charlene's music since 2017 and there's levels to her music and to her game! We talked about how she would describe her music, being inspired by the Spice Girls, how much the Christian music scene has changed over the years, being open to change, and new music - including her latest single "Melancholy".

    Icebreaker Questions:

What is one show you could watch for the rest of your life?
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
What is your favorite cake flavor?
If you could collaborate with anyone, who would be the first person you'd call?
If you could only play one instrument for the rest of your life which one would you choose?

    Episode Timestamps:

    Charlene's Music in 5 Words/Spice Girls to Avril Lavigne/Writing Inspiration - (15:34)
Music Is Different for Everyone/We've Come a Long Way - (26:45)

    EP 008 - KEO

    EP 008 - KEO

On today's episode, I chatted with KEO - a singer, songwriter and producer out of Ontario, shout out to all of my fellow Canadian creatives. I came across KEO's music on a Discord server for Christian creatives and the night that I discovered his music all I could do was have his EP "Glory to God" on repeat. After about the sixth time I reached out to him on Instagram and asked if he'd like to be on the podcast and the rest as they say is history! We talked about his early music memories, including learning to play many different instruments that I still can't name, his creative process, and making the transition from secular to Christian music.

    Icebreaker Questions:

What is one song you have on repeat right now?
What emoji do you use most when you text?
If it were 100% safe to travel, where in the world would you go first?
If you could only keep 3 apps on your phone, which ones would you keep?
What year has been the most memorable for you?

The Short Chronicles - Wow! Look at God!

The Short Chronicles - Wow! Look at God!

Welcome to the first edition of The Short Chronicles, these episodes delve a little deeper into some of the themes and topics from some of the conversations that I've been having, as well as things that I've found interesting and thought-provoking.

2020 will forever go down as an interesting year, with a lot of firsts for many people. But for me, 2020 so far has been the year that I'm calling the "Wow, Look at God" year. God truly has surprised me in many different ways, and after taking time to reflect on all that has happened I can't help but say WOW!

I hope this episode encourages you to take time to think about what God has done, and don't discredit the small things! As in this season the gift of life is such a blessing!

    keep shining bright! (Rocky)

On today's episode, I chatted with singer and songwriter Dion Davis - who in 2019 serenaded me down the aisle at my wedding. Now he wasn't physically there, but I walked down the aisle to "Lean Back" and if you would've asked me if the opportunity would arise for me to talk to Dion in 2020 I would have looked at you some type of way - but here we are!
