Welcome to the fourth season of the "You Belong in AI!" podcast presented by UCLA ACM AI Outreach. To start off our season, we will be talking to Pedro Silva (he/him), manager of inclusive AI at Pinterest! Pedro received his PhD from UC Irvine in 2019. This episode features Natasha Jaques (she/her), a Senior Research Scientist at Google Brain! Natasha received her PhD in Computer Science at MIT in 2019, and she was a part of various research groups like DeepMind. In this episode, Natasha shares about her background, discusses representation in AI, and gives valuable life advice. Natasha will be joining the University of Washington School of Computer Science as an assistant professor starting in January 2024.

This episode features Kitu Komya (pronouns she/her), a Machine Learning Engineer at O' Reilly Media! Kitu received her Bachelor's degree in Statistics at UCLA in 2018, and she was a part of various research groups like Infosys. In this episode, Kitu touches upon how she got her position at O' Reilly Media, what it's like working there, and her views on current representation and fairness issues in AI.

This episode features Virginia Adams (pronouns she/her), a Deep Learning Applied Scientist at NVIDIA! Much of her work at NVIDIA revolves around Conversational AI, a branch of AI that focuses on speech recognition and generation for interactive language AI's that can speak to users. In this episode, Virginia touches upon how she got her position at NVIDIA, what it's like working there, and her views on current representation and fairness issues in AI.

Dr. Hatley is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Coppin State University. In this episode of UCLA ACM AI's "You Belong in AI!" we will be interviewing Chinasa Okolo. Chinasa (pronouns she/her) Chinasa is a 3rd year PhD student in computer science at Cornell University. Her work includes developing machine learning models that advances diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases and other AI-enabled health care models.
