DV Podcast Episode 10 - Logan Garrity
Logan Garrity is the cowriter and director of Pool Party '15, which was released early last year.
Making a movie is no small feat; I would imagine all of us have, at some point, imagined writing/directing/shooting/producing/releasing a movie. Logan and I talk about what it takes to actually bring a film to life, and what it can cost. In the end, we are all of us creators, big and small, and every great project begins with little more than an idea, a dream. Enjoy! -
DV Podcast Episode 9 - Dennis Hinrichsen
Dennis Hinrichsen's recent book, THIS IS WHERE I LIVE I HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO GO, which won the 2020 Off the Grid prize, came out last Autumn on Grid Books. The author of many collections of poetry, Dennis has taught literature for many years and was, from 2017-2019, Lansing, Michigan's poet laureate. Full disclosure: he's also my uncle.
Customer Reviews
For readers and writers
I love the format of this podcast! You get to hear interesting conversations with writers and poets about their writing, influences and lives. My favorite part is that they also do readings from their work and talk about the pieces with the host, which really gives a glimpse into the process of writing. I definitely discovered new authors I would have never encountered otherwise.
