Dad

I am the parent who created a sheltered environment for Taylor a podcast cohost of this podcast. As a baby boomer my environment and culture was about sheltering and ensuring security for the family. What I have learned from my children, and is expressed in this podcast, is the need for parents to allow more freedom and interaction with their children earlier in their life.

It is great to express the pride I feel while listening to this podcast and hearing my daughter as a woman become the person she feels she needs to be as a woman in this world today. It is difficult at times to hear where I might have failed her, but I too am only human and I realize love, as well as friendship, allows for mistakes and opens up the lines of communication, if you allow them in your life.

It has to be one of the greatest feeling as a parent to begin to learn from your children. It opens up a another world of interaction and growth. Today these women have available to them modes to communicate and share that I never dreamed about at their age.

Listening to these podcasts is refreshing and provides hope about a unified country. I know these women in my daughters life and for them to share what they have had to overcome and learn to maintain their friendship with varying backgrounds and values is extremely educational not only to others but to anyone who seeks friendship and stability in a chaotic world.

I recommend this podcast not because my daughter is a cohost, but because I a am better father and a better man by listening to the wisdom I find from these ladies interaction.

Light hearted but real

These women are so much fun. They are caring, smart, funny and humble. Their conversations are light hearted and fun but they are also honest and real. I too was sheltered growing up and although being “sheltered” is typically seen as a negative thing, so much good has come out of it too. It has given me a unique perspective on life and I can’t wait to hear how each one of these women have been molded by their experiences.
