Religion can complicate our relationship with God and it can feel more like a heavy burden or boxes to check than a deeply personal connection with our Creator. ⁣⁣We are also surrounded with messages that tell us that our value is our ability to get things done while at the same time saying that we as Christian women shouldn’t stand out or draw attention to ourselves.⁣⁣My name is Emily Louis and for 26 years of my life, I felt like it was my responsibility to keep God happy by doing all the things. I was desperate to be good and to belong so I exhausted myself by checking the boxes and squeezing myself into the expectations of what others and, what I thought God, wanted from me. But when I learned that God loves me unconditionally and with radical grace, that allowed me to let go of toxic relationships with the church and myself.⁣⁣Now as a beloved daughter of God, a wife, a mom, a kids’ ministry pastor, a speaker, and a worthiness coach I am confidently living the life that was meant for ME. I’m here to help you overcome beliefs that are no longer serving you so that you too can live a well rested life, ask for what you want, confidently expecting to receive what you’re worth, and have deeper, authentic relationships with God, yourself, and others! You're not too much. You are enough. When you are grounded in God’s grace and OWN who he says you already are, it opens the door for the abundant life that Jesus came to give us!⁣⁣This podcast is for you if you've asked questions like: ⁣How can I live more authentically?⁣Is God happy with me?⁣Is it OK for Christians to say "I am enough"?⁣Is it biblical to say "I am enough"?⁣How can I stop people pleasing?⁣How can I rest more?⁣How can I live with with more confidence?⁣Is it OK for Christians with confidence?⁣⁣We'll cover topics such as:⁣Healing from spiritual abuse, religious trauma, and church hurt.⁣Rest from achieving.⁣Growing a personal relationship with God.⁣Increasing your self-confidence and self-worth.⁣Learning to love yourself so you can care for other people better.⁣⁣I’m Emily Louis, and I’m so glad that you’re here, friend! Maybe You Just Need to Rest and Not Produce + An Announcement

Maybe You Just Need to Rest and Not Produce + An Announcement

The word that God gave me for this season is Gentle. I highly recommend asking God if he has a word for you right now-whether that is a word of the year or for a season.

Right now God is asking me to slow down and not try to produce anything. Winter seasons can be an invitation to rest but they aren't usually our favorite. We would rather be doing, be achieving, be producing. What if God's invitation to you is similar to what he's extending to me: "stop. slow down. you don't have to force anything right now. abide in me. and that's enough."

Isaiah 30:15 hits home with the invitation to rest and salvation and strength when it ends with "but you would have none of it". I hope we can be people who will accept God's good gifts that he extends to us.

This will also be the last podcast episode of Season 3!
And the announcement is that I am not sure when the next season is going to start. Listen in to hear more about this pause.

Should You Quit Something or Start Something?

Should You Quit Something or Start Something?

210 There's a tension that I feel like I often hold here: Should you quit something or do you need to start something?

Oftentimes we're doing too much of the things that don't fill our cup. So we need to quit something at the same time we need to start something else. If you want to confidently be yourself there are things that you need to shed so that you have the space for what is actually for you.

In today's podcast episode, I share more about this tension that we feel and give loads of practical advise on how to make these decisions when we feel like we're doing too much but feel pulled to start something new!

I want to give you practical steps to evaluate and take action so that you can be off the performance hamster wheel and do the work that you're called to, no the work you "should" do.

Emotionally Healthy Legacy ,

Exactly what Christian women need

I love the recent episode on working from rest instead of trying to earn rest. So many women struggle in this area are feeling like they always have to be productive and it gets us to the point of feeling depleted. Thank you Emily for such a perspective and insight and the best part is that it’s aligned with scripture. A beautiful podcast for those who want change their old limiting beliefs that are not serving them.

Such a comfort-

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to several of Emily’s podcasts this morning! Her voice is calm & soothing-- and I left the podcasts feeling so more of God’s grace. I especially love what she says at the end each time… her gentle reminder that He loves us unconditionally! ❤️
Highly recommend to anyone who needs support & encouragement in this world (ie., all of us).

Calmness

Listening to your podcast just gives me calmness. It reminds me of whose daughter I am and where my identity can always be found. Thank you Emily - I’m glad the IG world connected us 🫶
