Ep 17: How the CARES Act is impacting the 2021 Tax Season -w/ Jessica Smith

Today I speak with Tax Strategies and just all around tax expert Jessica Smith about some the different tax scenarios we are likely to face due to the economic landscape of 2020. There was the CARES Act that allowed for a number of exceptions and relief options to try and help families struggling to make ends meet. But now it's time to look at how those relief options are going to impact the same families it was designed to help.

Ep 15: 9 Unexpected Self Care Items Covered By Your HSA

Ep 15: 9 Unexpected Self Care Items Covered By Your HSA

In today's episode I cover 9 unexpected self care items that are covered by your HSA. Caring for ourselves, our skin, and our health shouldn't be something we put off because we can't afford it or feel shame about spending money. And now thanks to the Cares Act that was passed in January 2020, even more self care items are HSA eligible, meaning we have even more flexibility in how we are able to use these tax free dollars when it comes to paying for routine items. And the best part is, you can even buy some of those pricier items you've been wanting. I call this a win-win!

Ep 14: Enough! The College Cost Crisis- w/ Bonnie Burkett

Today I speak with Bonnie Burkett, author of the #1 Amazon New Release Enough! The College Cost Crisis. And in our interview we cover some of the key topics from her new book and the advice is outstanding. College prices are increasing faster than inflation, yet parents and students are expected to continue to cover the costs using the same old options. It's time we said Enough! and found alternative ways to approach the topic of college education and how we want to pay for it.

Must listen!

I just listened to a couple episodes that completely blew my mind. The interview with Michael Lacy explaining how he completely changed his money mindset along with his wife and paid off 61k in debt in just 16 months really gave me a boost of motivation and opened my mind to a different perspective I haven’t thought of before. Love this! It’s a must listen.
