    Playwright and TV writer Franky Gonzalez joins the show to talk about his upcoming commission for Urbanite Theatre, THE EXTRAORDINARY EB-1, which he conceived in his winning proposal for the Charles Rowan Beye New Play Commission. Franky also talks about boxing, growing up an unlikely theater kid, and what it's like being a writer in the midst of a pandemic.

    Franky's work has appeared with The Lark, the Sundance Institute, the Ojai Playwrights Conference, the Great Plains Theatre Conference, the Goodman Theatre, LAByrinth Theater Company, Dallas Theater Center and countless others. He was a staff writer for the fourth season of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why.
