    E18 - The Lost Weekend

Billy Wilder's THE LOST WEEKEND represented a darker tone for a Best Picture winner than what had traditionally been recognized by the Oscars in the past. Released in 1945, the film chronicles Ray Milland's Don, an alcoholic writer who abandons plans to spend a weekend with his concerned brother and girlfriend in order to embark on a 3-day bender.

I love movies - and this podcast

I am absolutely hooked on this podcast. I’ve always loved classic movies, particularly those from the 30s and 40s. Colin and Andy have some incredible insight to these movies and share their views in a great conversational format. They also have great trivia!

Love it

More historical than anything else. Love how detailed the fun facts are. And, even if you haven't seen the movie, it’s fun to get the Oscar context. If you have ever given your time to watch an Academy Awards and follow Oscar races, this pod is for you.
