DesignCast is a series of conversations, rooted in personal curiosity and a need to better understand the creative industry within the Caribbean & African community and how its professionals work. Throughout my journey, as a creative professional, I’ve realized that a lot of creatives have the same questions and concerns that I had in regards to our practice. DesignCast seeks new perspectives and solutions for common challenges within the creative community in hopes to bring some clarity on the realities of Caribbean & African creatives and propel us into a greater design future.

The Business of Perseverance w/ Simon Bowden

The Business of Perseverance w/ Simon Bowden

Everyone, even the most successful entrepreneurs have faced their share of challenges. It is in those moments of having to face these challenges when we are truly tested. Creatives, we are no different and we get tested (especially on Mondays) through the expectations of our clients, ourselves and in our talent. In these times we may be faced with the most difficult questions:
    "Do I keep going?”
“Is it time to move on?”
“How can I move past this obstacle?”
“How can I look at this in another way?”
We have all heard that perseverance is the key to achieving your goals, but is this just something nice to say or is there real truth to it? Simon Bowden, Art Director, Musician, Martial Artist, an all around creative, gives us some perspectives on the business of perseverance and how he has built his perseverance muscle.
