Actually getting into it
I listen to a lot of shows. I disagree with the negative reviews, I really got into it. And can’t wait to finish. If it gets bad I’ll rewrite a review
Excellent, Fun Series
First of all, disregard all the negative comments. Look those users up and you'll find they have nothing nice to say about any podcast. I guess no one is safe from Internet trolls anymore. Now then, Secrets of Harridge House is reminiscent of the old 60s TV soap opera, Dark Shadows. Spooky house, ghosts, scary monsters, creepy kids, over-the-top writing (sometimes). It's produced by a local theater company and radio station in Northern Nevada and has been running for close to 2-years. Listening to the episodes, you can tell these actors enjoy what they're doing. Some are better than others, but you get that in any theater experience. They do the best they can, and they don't need the trolls raining negativity down on their parade. The sound effects and music are outstanding... I'm surprised they haven't won any awards. The writing is excellent. And no wonder, they have an award-winning horror author on the writing team. Definitely worth listening to, but don't drop into the middle. In true soap opera style, you need to start at the beginning and work your way up to the current episodes.
Secrets Of Harridge House Is A BLAST
As professionally made a series as the old radio shows from the Golden Age... which helps make this creepy, spooky, shadow-filled podcast such a marvelous delight !! If the thought of walking down a long pitch-dark hallway on the third floor of a rickety 19th century family home at 2:30am, as a thunderstorm rages outside, sounds INTRIGUING To you, then this gothic mystery series is definitely worth trying out.
So grab a candelabra, light the wick, and follow your long shadows to the end of the hall - with the locked door right next to an antique grandfather’s clock, still ticking away loudly.
Rifle through the keys on your ring till you find the one you need - the one that unlocks this door. The one that seals the room where all the screaming comes from. Every. Single. Night. At 2:40am. (And it’s gone 2:39 just now (!!))
So hurry up and subscribe fast - and then get back to your room QUICKLY, bolt your door, and start listening at Episode One.
