Welcome to the Awards Radar Podcast. In each episode, Editor-In-Chief Joey Magidson (that’s me!) will be joined by some of the staff of Awards Radar to talk about the latest in film, television, and entertainment in general. The show will obviously have an awards season slant to it, but we won’t forget about other movies and shows, that’s for sure!

#188: Having 'The Fall Guy' Expectations Defied & a Fun New Game Debuts

#188: Having 'The Fall Guy' Expectations Defied & a Fun New Game Debuts

For episode 188, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with fellow co-host Steve Prusakowski continuing to handle some behind the scenes Emmy coverage preparation. This time around, the big thing is that Myles saw The Fall Guy and agrees with my rave review here. We also make it a very Ryan Gosling-centric episode, both in terms of a reader/listener question, but also in a new game. Yes, Myles has come up with a game we'll definitely be returning to, with Gosling at the center of it this time around.

As always my friends and faithful listeners/readers, I do hope you all enjoy the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast, our 188th one to date (here’s to many more). Of course, feel free to revisit the previous installments by clicking the Podcast tab (here) on the top of the page. Plus, listen to us on Apple Podcasts (iTunes), Spotify, and other platforms. More to come each and every single week, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening!

#187: Volleying Back and Forth on 'Challengers' and Gushing About 'The Fall Guy'

For episode 187, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with fellow co-host Steve Prusakowski continuing to handle some behind the scenes Emmy coverage preparation. For this one, we have some questions to answer and a game to play, but the main focus is on a pair of new films. One is Challengers (raved about here by yours truly), which Myles got to see, while the other is The Fall Guy, which I had just seen and loved (raved about here). There's good conversations here, including a false ending to the episode, which we know some of you love...

We also mention Challengers more (raved about by yours truly here), as well as take a bunch of your questions, alongside a game. Plus, we look back on my Year in Advance predictions from last season, as my latest ones have dropped here on the site. It's a nice little episode, to be sure...

#185: Early Oscar Predictions, More 'Civil War' Discourse, Discuss the Cannes Lineup, & 'Inside Out 2' Footage

For episode 185, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with fellow co-host Steve Prusakowski getting the night off to catch up on some behind the scenes items. This one, ironically, is an episode that initially didn't have a ton on the agenda. However, we end up hitting on a number of topics. They include

For episode 184, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with fellow co-host Steve Prusakowski taking the night off. For this one, there's some recent news to go over, including some of the CinemaCon happenings. We also talk about the trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux, while I subject myself to the Sting trailer (which Myles reviewed here). There's some more Megalopolis chatter, plus more discussion of Immaculate (reviewed here) and Monkey Man (reviewed here). Throw in The First Omen (reviewed here), plus Challengers and Civil War (reviewed here), and we cover a lot today...

#183: New Releases, Questions, Then a High Stakes Game

For episode 183, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with Steve Prusakowski taking a much deserved vacation. This time around, we've seen some things, so we're chatting about them. They include Myles raving about Hundreds of Beavers, as well as the spider-centric double feature of Sting (reviewed here) and Infested. He also has some Godzilla flicks to discuss, including the newest release, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. On my end, I'm talking Girls State (reviewed here), The Greatest Hits, Monkey Man (reviewed here), and more. We also answer your questions, of course. Plus, we add some stakes to the IMDb game. You'll have to listen to find out how that turns out, but it's fun...

Perfect formula

This podcast finds the right balance between the very detailed and specific shop talk of the Oscars world while also having a really fun hangout vibe like you’re just at your friend’s house talking movies for a while. Definitely something to look forward to each week, can’t wait to hear more!
