Wow!

As a piano teacher who generally tends to neglect music history in lessons, I decided to sample this podcast, thinking it might be a fun thing to pass along to my students. I ended up binging every single episode within one morning, and left with tons of teaching ideas and a newfound vigor for/understanding of “music history”. These bite-sized episodes manage to give the perfect amount of information about various wonderful composers from around the world, incorporating important information about relevant political and social environments during their time. Each episode is full of fun facts, thought provoking questions, and inspiration for musicians of all ages. Nathan has taken a topic that is often dull and whitewashed, and turned it into something very accessible for people of all backgrounds to enjoy. I would recommend this podcast to all music lovers, and absolutely plan on listening again with my own child. Looking forward to more episodes!
