Ep. 2 - Approval Voting and the 2021 St. Louis Municipal Elections
Thanks to the passage of Proposition D, the municipal primary and general elections in the City of St. Louis are going to look different starting this year. In this episode of the MizEducation podcast, we dive into the differences between the Approval Voting method and the traditional Plurality Voting method that we are all used to and discuss what this means for the balance of power in St. Louis.

Important Dates for the upcoming Non-Partisan Primary Municipal Election:
Absentee voting began January 19th, 2021
Last day to request an absentee ballot is February 17, 2021

Episode 1: Cara Spencer Mayoral Candidate, City of St. Louis 2021 Mayoral Candidate Election
Cara Spencer has been alderman of the 20th Ward since 2015, having most recently won re-election in 2019 with 70% of the vote. The 20th Ward consists of portions of Dutchtown, Marine Villa, and Gravois Park -- one of the most diverse wards in the City of St. Louis. She has announced her intention to run for Mayor in the upcoming 2021 election and has received the pre-requisite signatures to solidify her candidacy.
