48: The Value in Stepping Back
I’m still here! It’s been months since I posted an episode. I feel like so much has happened since my last episode. A lot of growth and introspection. I suddenly felt like it was time to record my thoughts this morning and I just started recording right then. I see this podcast evolving a bit from its original vision - but not entirely.
I want to start focusing on a more holistic approach to living life to its fullest and seizing the day beyond just financial success. Building wealth will likely still have a place in the mix, but I want to focus on improving my/our mental game and how we approach life, work, family, friends, and the time we spend with our own mind.
I hope you enjoy where this goes next! I’m not sure myself, but I love having a place to pour out my thoughts, and having a place to put my thoughts engages my mind to start looking around for new things to think and talk about.

My guest Kurtis Hanni specifically finds financial lessons in the world around him. In his podcast "Delve Into Money", he specifically reads non-financial books and finds ways to apply the lessons learned to money and finances. We had such a great conversation around what it takes to set ourselves up for success and how to not get discouraged when we inevitably make mistakes (because mistakes are truly bound to happen). My guest today is an example of success in many areas we would measure it by. Nicole Bremner is a investor, podcaster (The Nicole Bremner Podcast), author, and speaker (among many other things!).
She grew up quite poor in Australia, but found herself highly successful in her early 20s making six figures in the banking industry, but not yet having the skills and understanding in how to manage her money. She is very passionate about teaching her children money management skills from an early age, so they will not find themselves in a similar situation. This is something I am also very passionate about as well.
