A+

I’m just now getting into The Sandman for the first time via the tv show, and I couldn’t ask for a better companion podcast. I feel like I’m taking a uni course on comics and literature.

Great insights, even for those who don’t know the comics

I’m not a comic book reader and don't know the sandman story at all. But I did watch and enjoy the Netflix version. I’ve listened to some of Lani’s other podcasts and always enjoyed them. This one no exception! I’m enjoying the contrast with the comic version- enough for me to get some background but not so much that I’m bored because I know nothing about it.

If you like story analysis and discussion on choices bringing written materials to a screen, I highly recommend.

Very good analysis

As an original comic book reader and someone who absolutely loved the Netflix series, I do enjoy most of this podcast. I absolutely love hearing Alisa’s insightful and funny review and her deep dive and knowledge of the content due to her background of working on the comic title in the 90s and her association to Neil Gaiman. Lani is generally insightful as well and brings fresh eyes to the universe as someone new to Sandman. But when she gets on her soapbox I begin to zone out and want to fast forward through it.
